TAMPA, Fla. — Norwegian Cruise Line canceled several trips on seven different ships set to take place in 2025. This unique concept is devoted to treatments that benefit the mind and body. Start off with a dip in the Thalasso Therapy Pool which will give you a feeling of weightlessness.

They also feature a separate bathroom with shower and access to some really great amenities. And because they are mid-ship staterooms, you'll have easy access to everything on board. Spa cabins include admission to Mandara spa and use of the thermal suite area.
NCL-Norwegian Cruise Line to introduce 1,000 dedicated solo staterooms across its 19-ship fleet
From reimagined Suites to redesigned experiences including The Haven Restaurant and The Haven Courtyard Pool & Sundeck, you can soak in true luxury at sea. Currently, the Ice Bar's menu features three alcoholic and one non-alcoholic beverage. As mentioned, the cover charge includes two cocktails, so you don't have to worry about paying anything extra once inside. NCL includes a beverage and dining package in certain fare classes. It’s possible to upgrade the beverage package to one that includes more options.
Staterooms
It’s large and present but doesn’t ruin adjoining spaces with its size. Bliss is the “Ultra Lounge” or nightclub brand on Norwegian Ships. The Bliss Lounge on the Epic is quite impressive given it’s essentially a well-done night club at sea. When you’re there, you wouldn’t know that you’re on a cruise ship. The lounge is what you’d expect in the evenings and is adult-only starting around 9 pm. Other than serving the purpose of a bar, club, or lounge, Bliss is also used during the day for private events and gatherings.
Club Balcony Mini-Suite
Modern, spacious suites perfect for the two of you or the whole family. First-class amenities include large balconies, butlers and more. Whether you're looking for a beach party or a club, Norwegian Epic has both. Spice H20 is an adults-only beach club inspired by the hotspots of famous beach destinations like Ibiza.
Included with your cruise fare:
Policies change frequently, so guests are advised to keep up with current protocols on a particular sailing. Certain ports of call may have specific health requirements, which should be confirmed by the individual passenger. As of September 2022, fully vaccinated travelers will not have to test prior to boarding.
Balcony Cabins
There are 19 decks, and a capacity for 4,100 passengers (at double occupancy) and 1,724 crew. Unfortunately for Norwegian Cruise Line, Norwegian Epic has been far surpassed by plenty of other cruise ships by now. Currently, Norwegian Epic is the 21st-largest ship in the world.
Make sure to bring your camera when visiting the Ice Bar, as this is a unique experience, especially for a cruise! Note that it's exclusive to Norwegian Cruise Line, so you won't find any Ice bars onboard Royal Caribbean, Carnival, or MSC ships. The changing colored lights and ice thrones help create a fun atmosphere that is something you really have to see for yourself when sailing onboard Norwegian Epic. During my time inside, I learned that there are around 22 Ice bars in the world, including on two other NCL ships, such as Norwegian Getaway and Breakaway.
The Haven 2-Bedroom Family Villa
When it comes to the award-winning entertainment on board Norwegian Epic, you won’t believe your eyes or even your ears. Experience the legendary Liverpool venue where the Beatles performed, The Cavern Club.
The Norwegian Epic cruise ship by NCL is a unique vessel known for being one of a kind. It was built in 2009 and set sail in 2010, offering a mix of positive and negative experiences for passengers. Despite being the least favorite for some, it is frequently chosen due to its availability and affordability for last-minute vacations. The ship underwent changes in 2024, including the removal of the “Priscilla Queen of the Desert” theater show. Besides the families, couples and groups of friends who make up the bulk of Norwegian Epic's passengers, you'll also find a fair number of solo cruisers on the ship. With no supplemental fees for its single studio cabins and a lounge designed to help single travelers meet other passengers, the ship is a standout for solo cruisers.

The dining options are varied, plentiful and sure to please. But over time, every cruise ship begins to show its wear and tear. As such, in 2015, Norwegian Cruise Line announced plans for a two-year, $400 million, fleet-wide refurbishment program, and Norwegian Epic was a part of this program, which was dubbed The Norwegian Edge. For a decade-old ship, Norwegian Epic isn’t shabby, but it was even more glamorous than it is now when it launched in 2010.
In other words, if you’re worried you might be bored on a cruise, go with this ship. However, no matter when cruisers first enjoyed a Norwegian Epic cruise, whether before or after the 2015 renovations, one thing remained true — a Norwegian Epic cruise is the perfect place to party. As such a unique ship, Norwegian Epic has certainly enjoyed its share of the limelight.
I don’t find the staff here to be terribly engaging or the drinks to be anything special. Casual pub-style restaurant/bar open late serving everything from fish and chips, burgers, and chicken wings to healthier options like salads and soups. If you’d prefer not to get your hair wet, you can enjoy the rock climbing and repelling walls, or the miniature golf course. A sports complex also offers a basketball court, climbing cage and trampoline.

Their stateroom, while beautiful, was an aft cabin and not connected to the main Haven area on the ship. Beyond the unique design elements and slightly more spacious cabin (with a proper bathroom layout), the Haven offered a Butler and Concierge that they rarely used. The consensus regarding the Haven on Norwegian is the value exists primarily in the private dining, lounge, and bar areas as well as other exclusive-use outdoor spaces. Most people who I know that have booked in the Haven suites tell me that they’d probably not pay full price for the experience but rather bid for an upgrade when possible. With two lower beds that convert into a queen-size bed, these Mid-Ship Inside Staterooms can accommodate up to two guests.
You are sure to make some fun memories at this onboard attraction during your voyage. Additionally, all of the drinks are served inside glasses made of ice to enhance the theming and immersive experience even more. While ice can be slippery, the ice glass will be placed inside of a plastic one to help guests maintain their grip. In addition to the parka, I highly recommend wearing pants, a long-sleeved shirt, and even a jacket for your visit. While the parka and gloves do help a bit, dressing warmly for your visit will ensure that you aren't rushed out. Individual stations in the Garden Café disperse guests throughout the area preventing lines and waiting.
Located near our kids area and with room for up to four, these Family Inside Staterooms are great if you want to bring the kids. They feature a separate bathroom, two lower beds that convert into a queen-size bed and two pull down beds to accommodate two more. Of course you'll have access to all kinds of great amenities, like 24-hour room service and much more. Solo passengers/cruisers have never been a priority on most cruise ships.
